Faith Fellowship is a young church soon to celebrate its fourth anniversary since opening in January of 2005. It is marked by a casual, intuitive, high-tech atmosphere with today's culture in mind. The weekend service is creative, contemporary and compelling with only one intent - to present the message of Jesus Christ in a way that is relevant and alive. The high-energy, cutting-edge worship, drama, and multi-media presentations highlight the worship experience. Pastor Dr. Daymond Talkington uses a no-holds-barred communication style in applying God's word to life's complexities. This isn't church as you have known it; it is energetic, captivating, and never boring.

The band, styled after the classic rock and roll line up, is complete with electric and acoustic guitars, bass, drums, and keyboard. The sounds you hear on your favorite radios stations can also be heard at Faith Fellowship rock, soul, jazz, and blues. The band rivals any in the area (Christian or secular).

The leaders of Faith Fellowship are intentional about creating an atmosphere that takes the stress out of going to church especially if you've been out for a while or perhaps have never attended. From the moment you pull into the parking lot, you'll be made to feel at home. Parking volunteers will help you find a place, and they are available to help you inside if needed. You will be greeted and helped to find your way around. Information center volunteers are happy to answer any questions you have.

If you have children, rest assured that they will be in the best possible care. All members of the children's ministry team undergo a rigorous background check to ensure complete safety. While parents are experiencing the creative, life-changing weekend service, children are participating in their own high-energy encounter through the children's ministry zone. They won't want to go home.

In less than four years, Faith Fellowship has grown from a handful of faithful believers into a vital, life-changing influence in the Riverbend area. Through prayer, faith, and dedication to God's call, Faith Fellowship is committed to do whatever it takes to reach people and mark eternity. This is a congregation truly willing to imagine what God can do through a church that is willing to think beyond the box of theological tradition and simply present the message of Jesus Christ in a way that is compelling, creative, and relevant for today's culture.

Faith Fellowship now has a new home at 4719 Seminary Road, Alton, Illinois. After almost four years of meeting in rented facilities, the church now celebrates worship in its own building. In August of 2006, the church purchased 18.67 acres of land. Through the sacrifice and generosity of many, construction on the 2.7 million dollar project was completed in August 2008. Although the church is the people, not the building, this facility will provide a tool by which ministry can grow and continue. With God's help Faith Fellowship is positioning itself to impact many lives for Jesus Christ in the years to come.
