Pastor, Dr. Daymond Talkington

Birthplace: Memphis, TN

Home: Wherever God puts me. However, I lived in Springfield, Illinois for several years. Most of my family lives there.

Family: My wife Cindy and I have shared in ministry for over 20 years. Without her love, support, and dedication, I would not be here today. Our daughters Stacey and Alicia are married and we have four grandchildren who bring us more joy than we could have imagined.

Education: Springfield High School; St. Louis Christian College (Bachelor of Arts in Church Growth and Ministry), Bethany Theological Seminary (Master of Divinity), Northern Baptist Theological Seminary (Doctor of Ministry in Preaching)

Mission: To reach the unsaved for Jesus Christ and to help Christ-followers mature in their faith and serve and live life to its fullest for God.

Vision for Faith Fellowship: I want Faith Fellowship to be a church where people from all backgrounds come to worship and serve, where past tradition does not dictate worship, where people are excited to be part of what God is doing, where a searching soul can come and explore faith, where new people and ideas are always welcome, where lives are changed, and a place that impacts the Riverbend Area for Jesus Christ.

I appeal to you therefore, brothers and sisters, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your minds, so that you may discern what is the will of God-what is good and acceptable and perfect.
